Hi,
Loader file compiled from u-boot 2010RC5 dist version. Flashed on on-board SPI flash. and boots up to "bfin >" prompt.console commands "mii .. dump" returns all 0's or 1s. Board ip set to 10.7.143.88. server and gatewayip set to 10.7.143.34 (host m/c - ubuntu). Host is connected using a eth swap cable. Self ping and host ping fails. Ping request to host does not reach the host. What could be possible problem. mii read/writes on VDSP works fine. And link up is detected by the uboot routine, though.
Seeking help.
2. Compiled Kernel image for the target and loaded it via UART (loady).Bootm prints "uncompressed ok! " and hangs after this message:
"Starting kerenel at address ...."
No Boot progress messages. Is this a related issue. Pl. Help clarify.
Thanks
Mala

What do you mean by "self ping" and "host ping"?
uboot doesn't answer ping packet.

By the way, please only ask uboot questions in uboot help forum.

I am testing uboot loader compiled for BF526 custom kit. It is connected to a host PC(ip:10.7.143.34) running aftpd daemon. It has uImage stored in /tftpboot directory.
Uboot comes up with thw bfin prompt. I tried running tftpboot on uboot prompt :
bfin > tftptboot 0x1000000 uImage
I get the following response on console:
****************************
Link up detected
Using bfin_mac device
TFTP from server 10.7.143.34; our IP address is 10.7.143.88
Filename 'uImage'.
Load address: 0x1000000
Loading: T T T T
*****************************
File transfer does not start at all. What could be the issue.

Mala
