BF537-EZKit: ($371.88)

The $159.38 buys you the VDSP++ debugger, an audio codec, and a connector for the National Instruments ELVIS I/O.
Not worth it for the development that we do in Linux, and actually some of the extra stuff gets in the way...

Message: 49560 I see that when I choose AnalogDevices in the vendor selection in the distribution I only have BF537-STAMP as a choice and not BF537-EZKIT. Is the architecture so similar that stuff configured for the STAMP would work on the EZKIT? Or does this mean you guys just really don't support the BF537-EZKIT?
This doesn't have anything to do with the project I've been working on, but we apparently have 2 other projects launching that are also BLACKFIN powered.

We are using both the EZKIT and the STAMP for BF537 developement, and have not come across any compatibility issues. While the EZKIT has more peripherals such as the codec and Elvis Interfc, and a proprietary USB JTAG, the same code runs on both. The main difference I've found is that the STAMP boards have a version of u-boot & uclinux already installed, while the EZKIT has some sort of boot program that interfaces to VDSP, and so it needs to have u-boot installed.
The EZKIT should be readily available from ADI, as it's bundled with an eval version of their VDSP.

Message: 49808 Thanks Frank, that's comforting. DIgikey has a few in stock, but I don't like going through them because they clear out the oldest stock first and I might get an older generation board (I've been bitten by them before in this regard). ADI has none available now, but should be available in a week or so (according to the website).
I tried to contact my FAE to see if this "new run" of boards have any hardware fixes/enhancements or if what Digikey has is the same as the "new run".

Message: 49816 537-STAMP has a pretty good run rate at Digikey - the stock there is normally only a month or two old. I'm not sure about the EZKits.
The HW has not gone under any changes (recently) I am aware of.

Message: 50056 Frank, If you are still monitoring this thread, could you give me your jumper settings on the BF537-EZ-KIT that you are using when you are running u-boot and/or uClinux?
I flashed u-boot onto the board and when I initially didn't see anything boot up I realized that I needed to change SW16 from the EZKIT default. When after that I saw u-boot boot up on the hyperterm but the board didn't seem to be receiving my keyboard commands I realized I may have to change other jumpers as well.
I then just tried to change all the jumper settings to match my BF537-STAMP board and that screwed things back up to the point I see nothing. I also don't see any wiki doc regarding jumper settings for the BF537-EZ-KITs.
I figure it might actually take me a couple hours to trace each jumper and switch on the schematics and try to figure it out that way. You could save me much time here.....

Thanks. I seem to have problems finding/navigating to documents I want. I honestly do look first though.
