Message: 52929 Hello,
1) I wonder if the BF537 stamp/the ulinux distribution supports the EZ-extender from Analog Devices. I found
some postings from 2006 suggesting that it is at least partially supported. What's the status today ?
2) What camera models does BF537 support ? What hardware in addition to the camera do i need for that ? The EZ extender allows to connect some cameras to it (Omnivision/microvision/kodak). Which of the cameras are supported by ulinux ?
Thanks
Tilman

No - we do not support the EZ-extender - there are a few people who said they got it working, but no one ever sent any patches back or showed it to us.
There are camera drivers for ST, Micron and OmniVision. Have a look at:

Message: 52976 Dear Robin:
1) Looking at the link you posted I found several daughter cards. Are these daughter cards supported ?
http://docs.blackfin.uclinux.org/doku.php?id=hardware_platform#daughter_cards
2) How do I connect one of those camera to the bf537 stamp ? Do I need a daughter card ? Do I connect the camera directly to the PPI ?
Thanks
Tilman

you can make your own connection, or you can use our schematics:

as for cameras, you would buy them from whatever company makes them

Message: 53335 Can I then use the EZ-extender with the camera ? I am interested in operating the camera only . I understand that the EZ-board is not supported as such. . Looking at the schematics of the camera board and the EZ-extender ( http://www.analog.com/UploadedFiles/Associated_Docs/4214339496100Blackfin_A_V_EZ_Extender_Manual_Rev._2.0.pdf) however, I realized that both board mainly feed to the PPI to the camera and provide a clock signal, and power. The 1836 might also work as there is a boad from the ulinux community available...
Thanks

Message: 53337 we have no idea if it'll work as we've never tested it. you can certainly try, but you'll most likely need to do a little bit of development in order to get things to work.
