Message: 50253 Because I already referred to the wiki which sent me to Digikey which says they are backordered and no date is yet set for them and the Analog Devices site says that they are not available for a couple months (3/28).
Which means it sucks to be me, because we have a new customer that wants to get started on their development on the BF537. They are flexible whether they use the EZKIT or the STAMP, but if the 1836 isn't available and I don't have a driver for the on-board sound on the EZKIT then I am not sure which direction to point them.

Message: 50254 i cant speak for stock, but "commercially available" generally means they've been moved out of the development phase (which is where a bunch of our cards are stuck at the moment)

I got an email from the person doing the actual work - slightly paraphrased:
==========
Yes, the AD1836A-DBRD are out of stock and need to be re-spun. I will need to redesign the board for RoHS compliance, a task which is necessary for all of our legacy eval boards - we are not allowed to put leaded boards into stock anymore. I have no more boards left at this time, and the DBRD is a few boards down in my queue. I would say that the 3/28 date is pessimistic but not by much, given my current backlog. I will let you know if things change in the next few weeks.
============
If I hear anything sooner, I will let you know. Otherwise - contact your local FAE - he may be able to bump this up on the list if he can convince people that you will be using the AD1836A in your final product.

Hi Mike/Robin,
Any word yet on when the new AD1836a boards will hit the distribution channels. I talked with Digikey yesterday but they don't have and ETA for this.
