2008-03-18 05:29:35 mounting a thumb drive USB on EZ-kit BF548
Norrih Valayden (SINGAPORE)
Message: 52671
Hi,
I have been trying for one week to mount USB thumb drive on uClinux 2008RC2
without success. I read all the post concerning this point and try to build an
image with the correct option, but during the boot ( thumb drive inserted)
I dont have any device detected as the example below
usbcore: registered new interface driver usbfs
usbcore: registered new interface driver hub
usbcore: registered new device driver usb
musb_hdrc: version 6.0, ?dma?, host, debug=0
musb_hdrc: USB Host mode controller at ffc03c00 using PIO, IRQ 82
musb_hdrc musb_hdrc.0: MUSB HDRC host driver
musb_hdrc musb_hdrc.0: new USB bus registered, assigned bus number 1
usb usb1: Product: MUSB HDRC host driver
usb usb1: Manufacturer: Linux 2.6.22.12-ADI-2007R2-pre-svn3896 musb-hcd
usb usb1: SerialNumber: musb_hdrc.0
usb usb1: configuration #1 chosen from 1 choice
hub 1-0:1.0: USB hub found
hub 1-0:1.0: 1 port detected
Am I using the wrong uclinux version ?
Did i forget an option in the config menu ?
If someone can send me an working image with USB, I will really appreciate ( I will be able to test,
my usb port or configuration.
Thanks for your help.
Norrih

Message: 52674 Hi Norrih,
Please attach you fully booting message and .config of your kernel.
And help us to do following things:
1. Try to boot up the board without thumb driver inserted. After the board boots up, insert the thumb driver
2. Try other type USB thumb driver to do the test.
3. If you have another EZKIT-BF548 board, please try the test on that board again.
Thanks

Michael, your image works well with my board/ Usb is recognize = No hardware pb or configuration.
I put the dmesg and .config in this message, hope that you can see what's wrong.
Just on thing : in the menu config I dont have the option :
<*> BF54x HCD support
Is it because 2008R1-RC1 dist is not good ?
Thanks again.
