Hi,
We are working with 2007 R1 version distribution on BF561 based hardware.
In the uClinux distribution, to work with DHCP Client, we have enabled dhcpcd – new (2.0/2.4) in our board/device. It is working with our Local Area Network.
If DHCP client is enabled, then the file /etc/dhcpc/dhcpcd-eth0.info is created.
Here we connected our board/device (acting as dhcp client here) to the switch which is again connected ADSL Broadband Modem/Router which is actually allocating IP Address through DHCP Server from 192.168.1.2 to 192.168.1.254. , But the board is not able to receive IP Address from the ADSL Broadband Modem/Router in this case.
Here the file /etc/dhcpc/dhcpcd-eth0.info is also not created.
Will this work only for particular environment?
Kindly give your suggestions and comments.
Best regards,
Vijaya

You may also try another brand of router with different DHCP server.
