Hi,
I have few questions related to the "MMC/SD SPI Add on card" (mentioned in the below link):-
http://docs.blackfin.uclinux.org/doku.php?id=linux-kernel:drivers:spi_mmc
1. Can this module be interfaced with the BF527 ezkit?
2. If it can be interfaced then has any one tested the mmc/sd driver for this add on card?

I use this on a BF537 EZKIT. Works perfectly. We've also interfaced an SD card to a BF527 in exactly the same manner for an actual product, and that works fine with the 2008R1.5 drivers too. Haven't tested a BF527 EZKIT because they (still!) don't seem to be available in the UK.

Hi Ian, thanks for the information.
I have few more question:-
1. The SD card which you have interfaced to BF527, is it the same MMC/SD SPI add on card or is it a seperate SD slot which you have interface to your Product?
If it is a seperate SD slot which you have interfaced then is it possible for you share that schematic.
This will help us understand how to interface the slot with the BF527 host. Basically we want to know what values of the resistors & capacitors are used and how the connections are to be made.
2. Since you have mentioned that, it was a product to which this SD slot was interfaced to BF527, so do you have some diagnostic code to test the MMC/SD at the VDSP or uBoot level?
Hope I am not asking for too much.

1. It's basically a copy of the Rubico design. There's not much to it. The schematic is available online:
http://www.rubico.se/docs/spi-mmc_schematic.pdf
2. Diagnostic code? No. We just use the spi_mmc driver in uClinux. It works well for us.

Sorry few more questions Ian
1. Is the "MMC/SD SPI add on card" also pin compatible to microSD card?
What I mean is, can the microSD card directly be placed in the add on card or should we use a microSD adapter?
2. If a adapter has to be used then have you given a try on this?

Hi Ian, do you have any idea on whether it is pin compatible or should we use an adapter for the microSD card?
