Summary: serial uart1 can't be switched to use as console to start up
Details:
serial uart1 can't be switched to use as console to start up on trunk head.
When enabled uart1, and pass console=/dev/ttyBF1 to bootargs in u-boot, it fails to show up kernel prompt on the connected serial port.

i'm pretty sure your console setting is wrong. you dont give full paths, you
just specify the device node:
console=ttyBF1,......
--- Mingquan Pan 2008-09-22 07:07:34
Yeah, I changed it to console=ttyBF1, and move the case to another board that is
not using u-shape socket(on suse 11), this issue goes away. Close.
