I switched to busybox-1.13.4. But it failed with the same error.

What do you mean it's a false alert. I ran into the totally same issue when
using uClinus-dist 4.0 and m68k-elf-gcc-4.2.4 and can't fix it.

this is an ADI website. if you arent using an ADI processor, seek help
elsewhere. ADI does not make any m68k parts.
