Follow-ups
--- Cliff Cai 2009-07-03 05:39:19
the dependencies are broken by mainline recently.
now we have to install snd-soc-core first.
modprobe snd-soc-core
modprobe snd-ad1980
modprobe snd-pcm-oss(for oss-based applications)

Cliff:
Can you describe exactly what you mean?
depmod (busybox's perl script) should be able to figure this out, and add
things in the correct order.

it seems the moudules.dep is not correctly generated. I will check what has
changed.

the modules.dep file looks fine. snd-soc-ad1980.ko depends on snd-soc-core.ko
and snd-soc-core.ko depends on kernel/sound/ac97_bus.ko. looks like modprobe
itself isnt processing the dependency list properly.
--- Mike Frysinger 2009-07-09 00:32:46
nm, i was looking at the wrong module. snd-ad1980 != snd-soc-ad1980.
should be fixed now in trunk and branch by having depmod.pl run through the
dependencies recursively.

OK now. Close it.
