ADSP-SC589 EZ-Board Linux networking

I have now successfully installed the linux image on a SDcard on my ADSP-SC589 EZ-Board it is booting.

However, there is no DHCP networking enabled on this linux image, so I have to use the minicom.

Are there any instructions on how to set up DHCP on the ARM linux core?

The info found on google does not always apply, since this pre-configured image does not contain all networking tools.

i tried /etc/network/interfaces:

# interface file auto-generated by buildroot
auto eth0
iface eth0 inet dhcp
auto lo
iface lo inet loopback

but it had no effect.

Hi bnilsson,

You can use "dhclient eth0" command to obtain the IP address dynamically in Linux, the instructions to enable it in Buildroot:

Target Packages ->
    -*- BusyBox                                                      
      [Y]   Show packages that are also provided by busybox
 	Networking applications  --->       
		[Y] dhcp (ISC)      
                [Y]   dhcp server
		[Y]   dhcp client

Yes, I have started looking at making a configured bulildroot instead of the rebuilt image.

However, I have not yet been able to pull through due to the errors mentioned in https://ez.analog.com/dsp/software-and-development-tools/linux-for-adsp-sc5xx-processors/f/q-a/104598/linux-add-in-1-3-0-released

I am using linux_addin 1.3.1 but the problems mentioned remain.

But I am working on it.

I am using Ubuntu 18.04 32-bit, maybe this is the problem.
