/dev/ttyUSB0 missing

Dear linux support,

I am trying to flash u-boot of my ADZS-SC589-EZLITE, but I am stuck because according to the instructions, minicom wants a /dev/ttyUSB0.

My Ubuntu 16.04 will not create any /dev/ttyUSB0 when I connect the USB cable from the ICE-1000.

I have tested another USB-Serial adapter, and this works fine, /dev/ttyUSB0 pops up as it should for this device.

How can I make my Ubuntu accept the ICE-1000 as a serial device?
