ADSP-SC58x and ADSP-BF60x in single JTAG chain

Is it possible to access an ADSP-SC58x processor and an ADSP-BF60x prosessor in a single JTAG chain with an ICE-1000 or ICE-2000 emulator?

I have noticed a difference in the connection of the /TRST signal for both processors on the corresponding evalboards. On the ADSP-SC584 EZ-Board, the /TRST signal is pulled high, while on the ADSP-BF609 EZ-Board, the /TRST signal is pulled low. So they cannot be connected together directly?

    We have tried this setup and we are indeed having issues connecting to the individual ADSP-SC58x or ADSP-BF60x while the other device is in BYPASS. Our suggestion at this point would be separate JTAG headers on the target board but we have added an issue to our database to look into this more to understand what the problem might be. I would like to tell you it will be fixed in the next release but we need to look into the issue more before we can pinpoint when the fix will be ready.

    After more debugging of this issue in CCES 2.5.1 it does appear to work provided that you load an application to both BF609 cores. There is an issue if you only try to connect to the BF609 without loading an application. We don't have a target board readily available to easily try this on so we did have to come up with a pretty unreliable connector to do it. When using that connector there was difficulty at timed but I imagine it is signal integrity based on what we had available to use. You will not be able to connect to both at the same time to debug so you would be limited to only debugging one processor at a time.
