Header file location in visual dsp

Hello All!

I'm using visual dsp for coding adsp21488. When I'm keeping my header file in the same location as that of .dpj file, everything works fine and build get successful. However when I move .h file into a separate folder inside the project main folder, visualdsp shows following error post build:

C:\Program Files (x86)\Analog Devices\VisualDSP 5.1.2\gmake-378: *** No rule to make target `src/Park.h', needed by `Debug/Park.doj'.  Stop.

Can you please help me in resolving this? I need to keep all the header files in a separate folder!

best regards,

  • Hi Mahesh,

We understand that you have already contacted our private support. Please continue the discussion there to avoid duplication of efforts.

We are posting the response here for others to benefit.

This error could because of the compiler unable to find the location of the header files.

Could you please try adding the header files directory, where the preprocessor is to search for included header files. To locate the one go to Project options > Compile > Preprocessor > Additional Include Directories.Click the browse (...) button to select directory.

Now close and open the project and try to build the project and let us know if that helps.
