What operating systems can I install CCES on and what are the minimum requirements?
Answer:
Below are the system requirements for the CCES latest version 2.9.2:
•Minimum of 2 GHz single core processor, 3.3 GHz dual core is recommended.
•Minimum of 4 GB RAM; 8GB or more recommended
•Minimum of 2 GB hard disk (HDD) space is required.
•Minimum of 2 GHz single core processor; 3.3GHz dual core or better recommended
•One open USB port
Also, a faster disk drive will decrease the build time, especially for a large amount of source files.
The latest version of CCES 2.9.2 will be supported on the below operating systems:
The following versions of Windows are supported:
• Windows 7 Professional, Enterprise, or Ultimate (32 and 64-bit, SP1 or later)
• Windows 8.1 Pro or Enterprise (32 and 64-bit)
• Windows 10 Pro or Enterprise (32 and 64-bit)
The following Linux distributions are officially supported:
• Ubuntu 16.04 32-bit
Note; CCES does not install into a User Access Control (UAC) directory. The default installation path is:
C:\Analog Devices\CrossCore Embedded Studio, however, Windows Vista, Windows 7 and Windows 8 users may experience User Access Control (UAC) related errors if the software is installed into a protected location such as “Program Files” or “Program Files (x86)”.If you wish to change the default install path we recommend using a non-UAC-protected location.
