Organizing and Building Multiple Projects in CCES

Question: 

How can I build multiple projects in a custom order in the CCES?

Answer:

Steps to set a Custom Build Order:

1.Open Preferences:

·                     Go to Window > Preferences.

·                     The preferences dialog box will open.

2.Navigate to Build Order Settings:

·                     In the left panel, expand General > Workspace > Build.

·                     The Build Order preferences page appears.

3.Configure Custom Build Order:

·                     Uncheck the 'Use default build order' option.

Note: 

 If this option is enabled, projects are built in alphanumeric order, and the customization buttons will be disabled.

4.Modify the Build Order:

·                     To remove a project : Select the project and click 'Remove Project'.

Note:

   Removed projects are built after the listed ones.

To add a project:

1.  Click 'Add Project'.

2.  In the dialog box, select one or more projects.

3.  Click OK - the selected projects are appended to the build list.

To reorder projects:

Select one or more projects and use the 'UP' or 'Down' buttons  to adjust their position in the build order.

5.Apply changes:

·                     Click 'Apply and Close'.

·                     The new build order takes effect immediately.

Note:

The custom build order is applied when build projects is in the 'Build All' option.
