What files should be included in a git repository?

Question

hello - looking for recommendations / advice with regard to which crosscore project files should be included in git repositories, and which should be left out? 
 1. for example, do you recommend that the .metadata folder be commited to the repository? 
 2. what about .settings folder, .cproject and .project files? 
 3. what about generated source files, such as pinmux_config.c, app_heap_stack.c? 
 CrossCore version 2.11.1, i will be working with ADSP-SC594 processor

Hi,
I would store all files for a project (generated files for pinmux, .project, .cproject, .settings + your sources) in your git. I would not add the Debug or Release folders and I would not add the .metadata folder for the workspace.

The generated files and .settings files will get regenerated is not existing in a checkout so you could consider them optional to add but only if you don't have updated in the user modifiable areas of the generated Startup/LDF files or changes to Eclipse settings that impact the project builds.
