CCES EZ-Kit license

Hello,

Last November I bought an ADZS-BF707-EZLITE-ND EZ-KIT LITE ADSP-BF70X EVAL BRD, for doing some research on CCES in combination with Blackfin. Until know I didn't find the time however now I do have the time.

I have a question related to CCES in combination with EZ-KIT's

The web page mentions the following:

An EZ-Kit license ships with applicable EZ-Kits. It behaves exactly like the node locked license except it only works with the EZ-Kit and emulator it ships with. It does not support a simulator target. An EZ-KIT license is included with evaluation boards/bundles for the following parts: ADSP-21593, ADSP-SC594, ADSP-21569, ADSP-BF706, ADSP-BF707, ADSP-SC573, ADSP-SC584, ADSP-SC589, and ADuCM3029.

  • What does the CCES EZ-Kit license mean, is it a license restricted to this, and only this, kit?
  • Is my time limited to the evaluation period of 90 days?
  • Does it contain the complete package, in other words, does it contain USB driver code?
  • Where can I find the node locked license code since I am not aware of having this?

Best regards,

Frank Litjens

  • Hi,

    Please find the details below:

What does the CCES EZ-Kit license mean, is it a license restricted to this, and only this, kit?

    >>>Yes.An EZ-Kit (EZK )license ships with applicable EZ-Kits. It behaves like a full license but only supports one EZ-KIT board. This means that the license only allows development for the EZ-KIT board for which it is licensed.

Therefore, EZK license serial number that ships along with ADSP-BF707 EZ-kit, supports the ADSP-BF707 EZ-KIT board only.

Please refer the below FAQ for more details on EZ-KIT licensing:
    FAQ: EZ-KIT licensing
    ez.analog.com/.../faq-ez-kit-licensing

Is my time limited to the evaluation period of 90 days?

    >>>Please note that, An EZ-KIT license for the CCES development tool chain license serial number having prefix of EZK is permanent once activated.

Previously, ADSP-BF707 ez-kit includes CrossCore Embedded Studio (2x 180day licenses), hardware ships with a single 180 day evaluation license in the package. After completing initial 180 day trial, second one is available by upon your request to our team.

Nowadays, EZK license(Full license) included in the EZKIT package, instead of the EVAL (180days) license.

Does it contain the complete package, in other words, does it contain USB driver code?

    >>>The emulator and evaluation board hardware device drivers are installed automatically when the device is plugged in and powered up for the first time after installing CCES tools.

Please refer section "Package Contents" in the below linked product page of ADSP-BF707 EZ-kit board.
    www.analog.com/.../eval-bf707.html

Where can I find the node locked license code since I am not aware of having this?

    >>>You can purchase the node-locked AD-CCES-NODE-1 (For single user) and AD-CCES-NODE-5(For Five users) the CCES full license from the below product page of CCES:
    www.analog.com/.../adswt-cces.html

In that page, Select your country and click check inventory. Then select the license that you want to order and buy it.

  • Hi Santhakumari.K,

Thank you very much for your comprehensive response.

Since you mentioned "Nowadays, EZK license(Full license) included in the EZKIT package, instead of the EVAL (180days) license." my only question left is where I can find this EZK license because I am not aware of having this code received in the package. Is it possible for you to send me a code.

Kind regards and thanks for your support,

    Frank Litjens
