Each microcontroller is different, so the answer to this question will vary greatly depending on what architecture you have chosen. However, SigmaStudio includes some functionality that allows you to generate C-compatible header files that should greatly reduce the complexity of microcontroller integration and development.
Attached to this message is a brief tutorial in the form of a PDF-converted PowerPoint presentation. There is also a zip file containing the full design and code files for an ADAU1761 in a system with an ARM Cortex M3 microcontroller. By reading the presentation and examining the files, you should be able to see how the framework macros are created and how the sequencer is used to define operating modes and create download sequences for the microcontroller. At this stage, it's not fully documented, but it should be good enough to get you started with a working example.
The PDF and project files are attached. Please take a look.
Also, an example hardware design with an ARM Cortex M3 microcontroller and two ADAU1761 SigmaDSPs is included in the attached PDF file.
