 Note that the S/PDIF receiver on the ADAU1446 must receive an input stream synchronous to the DSP core in order to receive data. This implies that the SigmaDSP receives its MCLK input from the S/PDIF source in the system. Because recovered MCLK signals from S/PDIF signal sources are prone to jitter, it is recommended that an ADAU1445 or ADAU1442 is used in systems requiring an S/PDIF input, and that the signal is routed to an ASRC.)
