Provided that there are no downsides to using the ADAV4601 at 192KHz:
I would like to use the WM8805 in HW mode with its digital audio interface port configured as master. In the HW mode the WM8805 supports all the SPDIF sample rates
Since the MCLK output of the WM8805 is maintained at 256fs relative to the SPDIF received sample rate and since in the absence of any SPDIF signal the MCLK output defaults to approximately 24MHz, can I use the MCLK of the WM8805 to clock the audio processor instead of the 24.576MHz crystal in a hope of avoiding to use SRC.
I appreciate any help or suggestions on this.
