How to implement long delay with SPI-RAM in ADAU1452

Hi everyone,

         

          I'm developing the audio device,for which the long delay(more than 8s at the sample rate of 96K),with ADAU1452.Obviously,this kind of delay samples is not allowed to storage to the on-chip RAM of the 1452.

          And it seems the off-chip RAM with SPI interface is supported in 1452.But I can hardly find any document about how to realize it.

          Can anyone offer me any suggestion about it?And it will be very much appreciated.

    Hello Gundang,

    Yes, but only if the SPI RAM is only used by the ADAU1452.

    The ADAU1452 has two communications ports. The slave port is what the system controller will use to communicate with the ADAU1452 and to program it. The master port will communicate with the SPI RAM as a master so nothing else can be using the RAM.
