For the ADAU1962A, you can use SigmaStudio to control it. You also can use the ARWB program if you like. The SigmaStudio DLL is labeled ADAU1966. This DLL will work for the 1962, 1966A and 1962A. The small differences will not effect the operation of the part. Of course any controls for channels above 12 will not work because it is only a 12 channel DAC. Also, the settings for the common mode voltage cannot be set to 5V for the "A" version of parts that operate only at 3.3V. So the differences are rather obvious and you cannot damage the part by selecting them.
