Indirect Parameter Access Table (IPAT) names in Sigma Studio +

Thread Summary

The user encountered an issue in Sigma Studio + where custom component names in the schematic are not reflected in the IPAT control options or parameter window. The support engineer confirmed this feature is not yet available in Sigma Studio + and will inform the development team.

I am working on converting an old sigma studio project to sigma studio +

During that i found that is was lacking the option to chose a component to control via IPAT based on the name i have given the component in the schematic. I can only chose the generated name e.g. "mute_0" and not "fw_bt_mute" as i have called it.

Is that a missing feature, a bug or am i doing something wrong?

  • Hello PeterRasmussen,

    Sorry for the trouble.

I can see that the custom name isn't updated anywhere, even the param window has the default name for the modules even after we changed it. The custom name did update in the right-side window but that only helps with navigating the module in schematic.

So, this custom name thing we use in sigma studio is not available yet in SS+.

I will inform this to the dev team.

    Regards,

    Harish

  • Hello PeterRasmussen,

Thanks for letting us know about this. I agree with you that it should use the user-supplied names rather than the compiler generated names.

I have notified the programming team yesterday and I heard back from them already. So they are aware of the issue and have put it into the list of items to work on.

I am not sure how close they are to a new revision. There is a good chance it would be included in the next revision. It should be listed in the revision notes when the new revision comes out.

So Harish, I have already reported this to the programming team.

    Thanks!
