Is it possible to connect an external POT to control the dynamic bass block? I see examples where the block can be bypassed, but having the ability to control the boost with an external POT would be wonderful.
If it is currently impossible, how might I go about (re) creating the block with an external POT control?
Thank you
Hello,
The Dynamic Bass Block performs several sophisticated functions. It includes:
Each filter works with a set of coefficients which SigmaStudio calculates in advance using complex formulas that the -1701 can't perform on its own. Thus, an external adjust pin for pot control isn't possible. As a workaround, you could cascade a bass tone control as shown below. To help with adjusting the Dynamic Bass Block's many settings, see the block's Wiki entry as well as this post.
This project is made to work on a ADAU1701MINIZ eval board. When using different hardware, change the Aux ADC, DACs, and Hardware Register Controls accordingly.
Best regards,
Bob
