Equivalent t connector in sigma studio+

Category: Software
Product Number: ADAU1452
Software Version: Sigma Studio+ 2.0

I am upgrading a schematic drawing for a ADAU1452 from Sigma Studio 4.7 to Sigma Studio+ 2.0. The import feature did not work, trying to open the schematic would lock up Sigma Studio+, so I am redrawing the design. What is the equivalent t connection for sigma studio+? I found the simple router and block splitter, but I am not sure if one or both behaves like the t connection that does not use DSP resources and is established at compile/link time.

  • Hello kernel757,

I think you are asking about the T-connection" that sigmaStudio uses to "Y" a connection to several places? For SS+ it is sort of designed in. In the old SigmaStudio you could only connect one wire to a pin, in SS+ you can connect multiple wire to the same output creating the same thing you would use the "T" for.

That is what I did here:

Two wires are connected to the same pin. You can only do this with an output pin of course. You cannot "mix two signals onto one pin unless you use a summing block.

  • Hello Dave, Sorry to intervene.

    Hello kernel,

Regarding migrating a project from SS 4.7 to SS+ 2.0. Could you please try following those steps given in this post. I followed those steps, and I can migrate the project successfully.

    Regards,

    Harish

  • I followed the same steps previously. The old SS 4.7 project initially loads, but when I try to open the actual schematic the program locks up and is unresponsive. It will sit in this state for hours and the blue progress bar at the bottom of the window never moves.
