Filters and ADAUx Devices SigmaStudio

I'm trying to select what ADAux part to select for a project.  I had a previous question (about Hilbert), answered that suggested the '200' core.

I'm going through the SigmaStudio (SS) documentation and looked at all of the filters available and noted certain ADAU products mentioned.  But I can't tell if a particular filter is not supported on the 1787 (my preferred choice).

The Hilbert is fixed (and I will import the coefficients) after using the SS Hilbert first.

What I would like to know now is what filters are NOT supported on the 1787 or othe similar ADAU's.  I note many require the SCARC, but I can't find a compatibility matrix.

For example, I would like to adjust (voice band) the lower cutoff, and upper cutoff frequencies (to adjust the bandpass bw) during run time.  Or should I just use he 8-band equalizer. In all cases (a microcontroller is involved) and can initale the dynamic widfet width chane.  I would also like to adjsut the center-freq of a filter on the fly.  If not, I will have a band of 5 FIRs to set fixed BWS.

    Sorry for the delay in response.

    Sorry, we currently don't have any documentations available for that. The only way to know this is to drag and drop each processor and look at the tool tree for what are all the filters available for that particular processor and compare with others.

    I remember the 1787 doesn't have a Filtered NLMS and MFxLMS blocks readily available.

  • Hello Harish, I assume I can do that without having a tethered ADAUxxxx attached?  I didn't want to buy an eval until I knew what Filter library routines were supported.  So, I will do as you suggest to find out.

    Yes, if you have the dll present. Check once whether the dll of the particular processor is present and checked in the tool>>>Add-ins browser from the task bar at the top. Usually when you install sigma studio this all will be selected and checked, so no particular attention is needed.

    just drag and drop the processor into the workplace from the tool tree then you will be able to see the algorithms (blocks/modules) available for that particular processor and you will also be able to see the register settings of the particular processor without hardware connected.
