Using ADAU1701 for the first time

Hi!

I'm trying to start programming an ADAU1701 for the first time. My goal is to create a small sound processor for my PA system. I don't have much experience in electronics or computer science but I usually thrive with a little help.

My question would be whether these two panels are compatible with each other? Can I use it with Sigmastudio?

If compatible, how to connect? The scl and sda connectors okay but the rest?

    Hello,

    All you need to connect is SCL, SDA and GND to communicate with the part. 

    Depending on how you want to power the board you might have to use the 5V from the USB to power up the 3.3V regulator on the PCB. You will have to check the schematics or check with the manufacturer of the board for those details. I do not know how it expects to be powered up and ADI cannot be responsible for the connections of things we did not produce. 

    Then for help I suggest you search this forum for details. There is lots of information here.

    I would have one more question for safety. I read the forum but could not find a completely clear answer. What happens if I calibrate the resistor value before the ADC input to a 1.3VRMS signal but somehow 3 or 4V signal is applied to the input? I want to use it as a limiter and many types of signal levels can occur.
