FIR hardware accelerator on the ADSP214xx

Just one question. How did you concatinate the 1024 tap FIR blocks to obtain the 4096 tap FIR filters ??

Yes, it's definitely possible. Please see a ppt file and an example code which I prepared sometime back to illustrate how this can be done.

Can all of the 2 iterations of this example be done in one sample interval or are they spread across two sample intervals and pipelining is used to maintain the original sampling rate ?

Hi David,

Yes, all the iterations are done in one sample interval one after another and the good thing is that these iterations are taken care by the accelerator automatically. The user have to program the accelerator in the same way whether the number of taps are less than or equal to 1024 or whether it is more than 1024.
