Heat Slug Connection in ADSP-21060LCW

Sorry for the delayed response. I understand that you are using CQFP Package. For the MQFP_PQ4 package, it is clearly mentioned in the datasheet that the metal slug is internally connected to GND through the device substrate. Let me check internally on how does the heat slug connected in ADSP-21060LCW (Heat Slug Down) and get back to you shortly.

For the CQFP, since the Heat Slug is electrically NOT connected to the die, it is your choice of how you may want to connect to it. It would be fine for you to connect the Heat Slug to GND if that is convenient though it is not necessary to connect it to any potential.
