Inquiry on DAI I/O port of ADSP-21483.

Hello.

This is an inquiry on DAI I/O port of ADSP-21483.

Are these I2S in, I2S output and SPDIF I/O port simultaneously working?

As per Serial Ports (SPORTs) in page 9 of datasheet,

One SPORT provides two transmit signals while the other SPORT provides the two receive signals.

And there is no description on DAI_01 ~ DAI_18 in page.61 Lead Name.  I need information on port assignment.

  • A serial port receives serial data on one of its bidirectional serial data signals configured as inputs, or transmits serial data on the bidirectional serial data signals configured as outputs. It can receive or transmit on both channels simultaneously and unidirectionally, where the pair of data signals can both be configured as either transmitters or receivers. Or in other words, the SPORTx_DA and SPORTx_DB channel data signals on each SPORT cannot transmit and receive data simultaneously for full-duplex operation. Two SPORTs must be combined to achieve full-duplex operation.

Regarding peripheral pins routing to DAI/DPI pins, we suggest you to refer the 'Digital Application/Digital Peripheral Interfaces' chapter in the "ADSP-214xx SHARC Processor Hardware Reference" manual, link is given below.
