ADSP21573 SPI_SLVSEL register anomaly.

Category: Software

Dear Team,

We have a query related to processor (silicon) anomalies from Analog Devices.

Reference:  ADSP-SC570_571_572_573_ADSP-21571_573-Silicon-Anomaly-List.pdf

We are verifying the anomaly with our way of configuration, please refer below for our query related to the anomaly.

 Anomaly ID - 20000062

DESCRIPTION: A single write to the SPI_SLVSEL register should change the state of the register and cause the modified software-controlled SPI SPI_SLVSEL selects to assert or de-assert. Instead, a single write to SPI_SLVSEL has no effect.

WORKAROUND: Any write to SPI_SLVSEL should be done twice (back-to-back) with the same value in order for the change to take effect.

It describes that SPI_SLVSEL Register to be configured twice so that it causes modification for the register, but in our application, we have configured SPI_SLVSEL register single time, although we have write for single time , SPI_SLVSEL register is changing as per our modified configuration .

PROCESSOR - ADSP-21573

Please share the details that in which scenario this anomaly will be applicable.
