new to SHARC....need to replace ADSP-21062 (which is going out of production)....is there a code compatible part that 21062 can be replaced with?

Product Number: ADS21062CS-160

The ADS21062 devices are very old and going out of production. However, they are still being used in our product.

We're looking to update our PCB with a code compatible SHARC that is newer and not going out of production any time soon.

Pin compatibility is not an issue. Code compatibility is the concern.

What device could / should be used?

Please note porting will be easy, If you chose the processor from same family. But code compatible is not possible for processors from different family.

Unfortunately, ADSP-21062 is legacy SHARC, when migrating changes in codes as to be done.

About migration, we would suggest you to refer the below Application notes which will be useful for migration from Legacy SHARC.
