LED_Debug_ADSP-21369_SPORT& SDRAM

Question

HI, 
 
 I would like to have a LED debug connected to ADSP-21369 to SPORT pin. Can, I use this SPORT as GPIO when not used as Serial Port. 
 Also I have SDRAM interface application which will be used for code coverage analysis by LDRA. Should i need to have series resistor between ADSP and SDRAM in my Schematic.? and SDRAM drivers code example. 
 Requesting ADI team to once review.
