The ADSP-SC58x/SC58x processors have two DAIs. Each DAI has 8 Half SPORTs, 2 PCGS ,4 ASRCs 1 SPDIF-TX and I SPDIF-RX. The Most of the peripheral signals in each DAI are private and can't be interconnected. There are few exceptions to this,
1.A Pair of DAI_PIN buffers: DAI_PIN3 and DAI_PIN4 can be shared across the DAIs. This is mainly useful in synchronizing clock and frame sync of DAI peripherals across DAIs
2. ASRC 3 and ASRC 7 data outputs and TDM data inputs: This will be useful in connecting ASRCs across DAI. With 8 ASRCs daisy chained, it is possible to support 16 channel TDM in ASRC.
3. PCG clock and FS outputs.
It should be also noted that DAI_PADS have input enable signal, Only when input enable is high, DAI_PINs can be used in input mode. So DAI_PADS_IE register needs to be configured additionally to enable DAI_PADS in input mode.
