Using ADSP-21584 without DDR

Hi ADI Expert,

Might I use ADSP-21584 without external DDR?

If I don't use External DDR, do I still need to provide Vdd_dmc power to DSP?

Hello,

Since you are not using the external DDR memory, the unused VDD_DMC can be left floating.

Hello Jithul,

I am designing an ADSP-21569 in BGA housing w/o DDR memory.

So I do not need to contact any DMC relevant ball (Vdmc, adress, data) on the processor ?

Do i need to configure cfg or ctl registers of DMC anyway ?
