ADSP21571 Can‘t StartUp

we used ADSP21571 for audio processing in vehicle amplifier,but now there have some cases that the ADSP21571 can't startup normally,Details are as follows

  1. Compared to normal dsp,the failure has a errorcode in bootrom register rcuo_msg

  2. We send the problem Dsp back to the Adi for testing,but the conclusion has not help us to slove this problem

  3. At present, there have been many cases of failure. We would like to know what may cause the failure and whether it is possible to recover the failed parts,thanks!

    To assist you better on this issue please provide your comments on below points.

    1. The Total number of boards you have? in how many boards you are facing the same issue?
    2. Can you please let us know on what basis you are differentiating the working and not working board, for example if you are facing issue with booting or the application hangs in between the execution?
    3. Are you facing this issue during booting only or outside of boot? Can you also let us know the rate of failure?
    4. Which boot mode are you performing like SPI master, SPI slave etc. Are you using second stage loader?
    5. Please confirm the Power-Up Reset Timing (Pg No: 66), Clock and Reset Timing (Pg No: 67) and clock configurations specification (Table 27. Clock Operating Conditions) in (Pg No:58) are met as per in the datasheet.

    answer:A total of more than 5000 vehicles have been loaded, and up to now there are 7 failed parts and cannot be restored.

    2. Can you please let us know on what basis you are differentiating the working and not working board, for example if you are facing issue with booting or the application hangs in between the execution?

    answer:The normal chip can run normally, but the failed can not start normally, we found that it stopped in the Boot, failed to initialize the external Flash SPI communication, also can not use IEC1000 wipe, but can run in Debug mode, all the failed chip are the same.

    3. Are you facing this issue during booting only or outside of boot? Can you also let us know the rate of failure?

    answer:we face this issue during booting,the failure rate answered in question 1

    4. Which boot mode are you performing like SPI master, SPI slave etc. Are you using second stage loader?

    answer:spi master mode,we use second stage loader.

    5. Please confirm the Power-Up Reset Timing (Pg No: 66), Clock and Reset Timing (Pg No: 67) and clock configurations specification (Table 27. Clock Operating Conditions) in (Pg No:58) are met as per in the datasheet.

    Answer:We have confirmed the startup timing, and the time of Reset_IN_PWR are 447ns,Figure 1 below,our measurement timing sequence is shown in Figure 3,pull down resetN 300ms after power supply is complete,ResetN maintains low level for 20ms.supply voltage shown in figure 2,all power supplies are within normal limits.the sys_clkin are 24.675MHz,Other configurations are the default values.

    6.We have sent a piece of failed parts for testing, and the test report is attached

    Now we encounter a new situation, there is a chip, also can not start, and the errorcode is also 17 in debug mode, but it can resume normal operation after power off and restart.
