Can I connect my single DDR3 RAM to any of the Memory controllers, DMC0/DMC1?

I have a single DDR3 IC to be connected to my ADSP21587. From layout point of view, I would like to connect it to DMC1 rather than DMC0. Are they entirely independent so that this is irrelevent & I can connect my DDR3 IC to any one of the DMCs?

Hello,

Apologies for the delay. The ADSP-21587 processor supports two DMC controller (DDR3/DDR2/LPDDR1 Controller (16-bit)). You can connect your DDR3 device to any one of the DMC(DMC0, DMC1) controller.

Please refer the application note(EE-387) which talks about Interfacing DDR3/DDR2/LPDDR Memory to ADSP-SC58x/2158x Processors. The link for EE-387 is given below.
