Choosing correct development board

Category: Hardware
Product Number: adsp-sc589

I am building an embedded device for a DJ to play music. The Sharc audio processor would only be responsible for playing WAVE files in real time, and hopefully converting MP3 to WAV via custom C++. The device also has a linux application controlling GPIO, and UI. So it also needs an LCD, Network, USB, Line In, Line Out.

The ADSP-SC589 Mini features LAN, Audio Codec, Line In, Line Out.. But the Arm Cortex A5 is older CPU.  The EV-SC598-SOM contains a newer Arm Cortex A55, and has higher clock speed and memory, but seems to be missing audio codec and Line in/out. But also features Enhanced Parallel Peripheral Interface which may make it easier to add an LCD.

Im trying to use development boards to prototype to save money on electrical engineering cost.

Is there a board that has a faster Arm Cortex, and preferably an Audio Codec?
