Can ADSP-SC598 processor support Octal boot? As per the hardware manual, I do not see any 'bcode' value for OSPI boot mode, which corresponds to Octal mode

  • OSPI boot mode does not support Octal mode by default. But it can be supported either through an initcode , or hook function. Boot will start initially through one of the existing supported modes, then we change the controller and flash device settings to switch to either Octal STR or Octal DTR mode. Custom boot approach can be also utilized here to perform the same. Example codes are shared in EE-438, "Boot Time Estimation for ADSP-SC598 SHARC+® Processor" application note.
