What is this new CGU2 for in ADSP-SC598? What all clocks can be derived from CGU2?
CGU2 is used only for generating various frequencies of DCLK. When DCLK from CGU2 is enabled it is directly fed to DMC block and other DCLK from CDU is bypassed. The CGU2 block diagram is shown below:
Hi there,
Just curious, how do you set which clock is in the input for CGU2 (SYS_CLKINx in the block diagram)? Can you use the CDU_CLKINSEL register?
Thanks,
Andrew
Hi Andrew,
Yes, CDU_CLKINSEL register can be used to select CLKIN source for CGU2.
By default, all three CGUs use CLKIN0. CGU0 is fixed to CLKIN0, while CGU1 and CGU2 have the option to connect to CLKIN1. This selection is controlled by the common CDU control bit, CDU_CLKINSEL.
Hope this helps!
