I've got an ADAU1701 on a Dayton Audio DSPB-250 board. I'm trying to do something a little different with it in addition to audio processing: control LEDs. I've got a strip of WS2812B addressable LEDs which use a serial interface to address them. It's something like I2C, but the format is different.
Is it possible to output serial data of an arbitrary format from the SigmaStudio programming environment? The closest I've found is the "Interface write" output object, but I can't figure out what you're supposed to put into it...
If there's no object to do it, maybe I could write my own plug-in that will do it. I know 3rd party "add-ons" exist, but I can't find any information on how to write my own. Does anyone know about this? I could write an object that takes audio inputs in SigmaStudio and maps it on to LED color or whatever.
If this doesn't work, I guess I'll have to get creative with an Arduino or Teensy.
