I plan to make a custom board based on ADAU1452. I would like to use its selfboot function,but of course I need an EEPROM for this. As I read in the datasheet, the address of the EEPROM has to be 0x50 (in the case of communication via I2C). And here is my problem. Many of the EEPROMs, like the M24512-RMN6P has an 8 bit address where the 8th bit is R/W. And if the R/W bit is part of the address then the address of the EEPROM never will be 0x50.
My question is: The address consist of only the first 7 bits, or the R/W bit is part of the address too?
Good advice: If you want to make an I2C based communication system, check the protocoll first...
