looking for ADAU1361/ADAU1328 reference implementation for Blackfin

Hello All,

We were using the AD1980/AC'97 for audio, and are switching to the ADAU1361/ADAU1328 combo, and I am looking (and hoping) for any basic reference implementations for the device on a Blackfin processor.  We are using a BF548, but any Blackfin reference code would be greatly appreciated.  If someone has implemented an ADI service for the ADAU1361/ADAU1328 combo, even better!

Thank you,

Scott

    Hi Scott,

I do not have a code to share, but if you are not able to find one in short time, you could begin with creating a driver on top of the SPI/TWI and SPORT driver. Though you have to integrate them together, you just need to worry about the correct register settings in the codec (through SPI/TWI), because the data communication (through SPORT I2S mode) will be well maintained by the drivers. Good examples are AD1836A driver, SSM2602 driver and AD1938 driver, and all of them are mentioned in Similar Products Category for the ADAU1361 device. A further higher level implementation would make use of the Device Access Service, where the Control/Configuration of the device (through SPI/TWI) will be managed through more user-oriented approach.

    ...\VisualDSP 5.0\Blackfin\lib\src\drivers\codec

    ...\VisualDSP 5.0\Blackfin\docs\drivers\codec

    ...\VisualDSP 5.0\Blackfin\lib\src\drivers\deviceaccess

    ...VisualDSP 5.0\Blackfin\docs\drivers\deviceaccess

I can send you code examples using SPORT/TWI/SPI drivers.

    Regards

    Prasanth.

    Hi Scott,

The ADAU1328 is the non-automotive version of the AD1938; the example code for the AD1938 should work well for the ADAU1328.

    Best regards,

    Coleman
