Video Inputs AVIN4

Hi,

I am wondering how to use the video input AVIN4 in BF533.

I have tried to check the setting in the sample code from Video Input, but it seems that there are no setting for video input.

However it works. Is it due to the default settings?

    Hi,

    Your understanding is correct.

In this Video Input project, processor resets the ADV7183 Decoder chip in the 'Init_ADV' routine and it does not further programs this chip.

So, ADV7183 works with it's default settings and decodes the CVBS signal at the AVIN1 jack.

You should program this decoder chip after applying reset (& before enabling it's OE signal) in order to decode the signal at AVIN4 jack.

You can refer "Video_test.C" file of the "Power-ON-Self_Test" project (available in the VDSP installation directory) for the details regarding how to program it.

Let me know if you have any questions,

    Regards,

    Prashant
