I've been looking for a "Modbus TCP" implementation inside an application working with BF537 + VDK + lwIP.
I found http://www.freemodbus.org/index.php that seems exactly what I need. They say this library support a generic lwIP port.
Has anybody successfully tried this library with Blackfin processors?
Or is there an easier approach than can be used to implement "Modbus TCP" on Blackfin?
Sorry for asking again,
but could somebody help me on this topic?
Unfortunately I do not know of anyone using or implementing Modbus TCP on Blackfin. Perhaps if someone else does they can post a follow-up to this message.
Your thought process sounds right here, as Blackfin's lwIP is essentially the generic lwIP port. From the overview I read on the freemodbus.org site a porting effort to Blackfin sounds straightforward, but the devil can be in the details.
I've been trying to implement Modbus TCP ver lwIP, but it's not so easy.
Could you give me some help?
In the coming weeks I will start to work with a similar project with BF518F, so some suggestion could be useful for me too. Maybe we can exchange some experience.
Feel free to ask a specific question here during your porting effort and we can try to assist.
