bf706 ezmini: tore of the line in audio jack, what are the the L&R loops for?

I was working with the bf706 ezmini and suddenly it generated a very loud noise and out of reflex it grap the aux cables and broke the line in audio jack. So I think I can still re solder the left and right channel but when I looked ate the schematic i saw left loop and right loop. I don't understand what these do and why they are connected to the loops of HP. Are the necessary for high quality sound or can i just leave it disconnected to the audio jack. If I have to connect them, is it possible to just connect the left loop the the left input channel etc?
