Following are the highlights of Mobile Storage Interface Module on BF70x processors: 
 
 MSI has an integrated DMA controller to transfer data between the FIFO and system memory 
 Core accesses to MSI FIFO are not supported 
 Supports Secure Digital memory protocol (version 3.0), • Supports Secure Digital I/O protocol (version 3.0), Multimedia Card protocol (MMC - version 4.41, eMMC 4.5) 
 Support for automatically generating the STOP command after data transfer(MULTI-BLOCK or STREAM) is finished 
 Flexible FIFO and card threshold controls 
 MMC boot mode support
