What software development tools are available for the ADSP-BF60x processors?
CrossCore Embedded Studio supports the ADSP-BF60x processors. Further information can be found in the following places:
CCES product page
CCES and related products training modules
CCES EngineerZone community
VisualDSP++ will continue to be supported for existing Blackfin, SHARC and TigerSHARC products. However, all new Blackfin and SHARC processors from the ADSP-BF60x onwards will be supported in CrossCore Embedded Studio only.
Yes, support is planned for the GNU tools in the near future. A beta should be available soon, and will be announced on the uClinux page, and the EngineerZone forums for uClinux/GNU tools.
As your questions relate to the GNU tool chain, and use of uClinux, I would recommend directing your questions to the GNU Toolchain for Blackfin community.
I am using the 128Mb x16 bit data bus NOR flash in my design with Blackfin processor ADSP-BF607 for booting the uClinux OS with small range of application. I would like to know whether this memory density is sufficient to include OS and application.
Also let me know what are the IDEs (GNU tools), debugger/emulators required.
Please help me out in this matter as it is new to me.
Thank you in advance.
Will there be an effort to support this in the uClinux at any time after launch?
