Hello,
My customer is checking new Nor Flash part because the current part has EOL issue.
They are using this Flash for Boot.
- main DSP: ADSP-BF609
- current NAND Flash(EOL issue): PC28F128P33
- New NAND Flash: MT28EW_QLHP_128_ABA_0SIT
Please check that New Flash(MT28EW_QLHP_128_ABA_0SIT) is OK for Black pin DSP(ADSP-BF609)
Kind Regards,
MJ Kim

Hi Kim,We reviewed the MT28EW datasheet and it seems this flash part is compatible with ADSP-BF609 processor.Regards,Lalitha.S
Hi LalithaS,
Here are the more checking points from the customer.
Please check it.
[new flash: MT28EW_QLHP_128_ABA_0SIT]
1. They connected 'SMC0_AOE' to 'ADV#' pin in the previous flash, but they cannot find the connection pin for this in a new flash. please guide it.
2. They connected 'SMC0_ARDY 'to 'WAIT 'pin in the previous flash. then they plan to connect it to 'RY/BY#' pin in a new flash.
Is it OK for timing related things? please check it.
Thank you.
Hi Kim,Sorry for the delayed response. Please find the solution below.Regarding,"They connected 'SMC0_AOE' to 'ADV#' pin in the previous flash, but they cannot find the connection pin for this in a new flash. please guide it.">> There is no similar pin as like “Address Valid (ADV)” in your new flash part. You can use this pin as a test point from 'SMC0_AOE' pin for reference purpose, because this pin is output.Regarding,"They connected 'SMC0_ARDY 'to 'WAIT 'pin in the previous flash. then they plan to connect it to 'RY/BY#' pin in a new flash.">> You can connect 'SMC0_ARDY’ pin to 'RY/BY#' and use 10 Kohm Pull-up resistor for this pin.Regards,Lalitha.S
